Boldest reveal yet: Veronica Beard enlists French artist Thomas Lélu to spearhead a limited Capsule that’s turning heads before it even drops.
Statement-making style on every stitch is the theme here, as Veronica Beard—founded by Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard—teams up with Lélu, famed for his blunt, block-letter wit. The six-piece lineup includes T-shirts that pose questions like “why not? Life is short” and “bad decisions make good stories,” paired with a cardigan embroidered by Abbode in New York and a hand-painted bag created by the creative studio Lefty’s Right Mind.
Swanson Beard explains, “Thomas’ work captures the moment we’re living in.” She first spotted Lélu on Instagram last fall when a post featuring the phrase “iconic never gets old” appeared shortly after Veronica Beard’s Iconic campaign launched. “The simplicity and impact of the statement were undeniable,” she notes, and they reached out the next day to propose a collaboration.
Miele Beard adds that Lélu’s wit and irony are a perfect match for the brand, saying, “We knew we could craft something truly special together. Candor—and fashion—get me through the day.”
Lélu, whose slogans have appeared on Smythson notebooks, Autry sneakers, W Hotels merchandise, and phone cases, describes the Veronica Beard partnership as a refreshing match, calling the brand and its founders “Another coffee” in his life—something dependable and energizing.
He envisions the Veronica Beard woman as a superwoman: active, high-achieving, and stylish—the quintessential working girl and icon.
Prices for the capsule range from $128 for a canvas mini tote to $598 for a cashmere cardigan. The collection will be available at Veronica Beard stores worldwide and on the brand’s official website.
